“I wish I was more creative” is something I’m hearing myself say more during lockdown. Admittedly this usually after seeing the creative outputs of others on Instagram.
I found this article by David Duchemin.
Being more creative is not something you wish for. It’s something you do. You don’t hear athletes saying, “Gosh, I sure wish I were stronger, or faster.” What you hear them saying is, “I’m going to the gym,” or “I have to train harder.”David Duchemi
After reading this article, rather than wishing to be more creative, I’m asking how can I be more creative?
I have already made time in my schedule for creativity as part of my morning routine. To make better use of that time, I’m splitting the days between writing and learning.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I will be focusing on my photography. This time will be spent either learning via Skillshare or reading the various blogs and newsletters I’m signed up to.
Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for writing.
